The Guaranteed Interview Scheme (GIS) will operate in partnership with the following firms

All firms participating in the GIS will offer an automatic interview to candidates who:

Respond to an advertisement for a post at their firm
Demonstrate the necessary skills and qualifications in their application
Have completed at least 40 (TBC) hours of pro bono work through the LawWorks Choices Project . This will be verified by LawWorks

Firms should note that, due to the administrative burden on LawWorks when verifying a volunteer's activity, firms who are not members of LawWorks will be charged £100 + VAT for this service.

Firms should also note that when:

a volunteer has been given a practising certificate through this scheme, and
the volunteer is subsequently employed by a firm through the GIS

the employing firm will be asked to pay the fee for the certificate for the remainder of its duration from the date of employment. This will figure be the pro rata cost of a full practising certificate for that year.

Applicants should note that a minimum of 5 hours pro bono work per month is required for all volunteers and work completed beyond the minimum of 40 (TBC) hours may be taken into consideration by participating law firms.
